Enable/Disable Google Voice texts forwarding to your Gmail

Enable Google Voice texts forwarding to your GmailLots of people want to get the their texts in their Email account. This can be very good in case you work more on your computer than your Mobile phone. Handling your texts from the comfort of your 101 keys keyboard can be a wonderful experience. At least for me personally. Now you might ne thinking how we can enable this feature in your Google Account, that is combining the Gmail with Voice account. This is an easy process that wont take long time to complete.

Follow the steps to get it done:

1. Login to your Google Voice account.

2. Click on the gear icon in the right corner of the screen.
Google Voice Settings
3. Select the Voice Settings.

4. On the settings page check the "Forward the text messages to my email" option.
Enabling SMS to Email option in Google Voice
5. Hit the SAVE button and you are done.

Issue : Some Google voice users have complained that they are receiving text via (GV) Google Voice in their Gmail even without enabling the option. For this you can take a look what Google Employees say about this in Google Voice Forum
