Delhi Moving Bus Gang Rape Victim, Jyoti Singh Pandey (aka Damini) with a Candle on the Google India homepage. Mostly the famous Google doodles mark their presence on the Google homepage or country specific domains of Google above the search bar. The doodles are modified logos of Google, which is Google's own way of making masses aware about that person, occasion or events etc.
Few days back when the Philadelphia incident had taken place, Google had lighted the same candle at that time as well, with a caption, "Our hearts are with the families of Philadelphia". That occurrence too had shaken the society, just like this Delhi Moving Bus Gang Rape case.
What had happened on the night of 16th of December had shaken the whole nation’s soul and has also raised the question on the level of inhumanity and brutality one can ever think of. The incident was a slap – slap on the face of the nation, the police forces, the government, the judiciary, but above all it was a tight slap on the face of the humanity. Awindra Pandey, friend of Jyoti Singh Pandey had told the complete story of the incident. You can follow this link to read the complete incident of Delhi Bus Gang Rape 2012.
Geek Upd8 have also lighted a candle since 16th of December, in the memory of Delhi braveheart. We hope God helps the family of the rape victim to bear the pain and sorrow, and may the soul of Damini rest in peace.
